Outdoor Lifestyle Commercial Photography in British Columbia
British Columbia might just be one of the most versatile backdrops a brand could ask for. Forest trails that disappear into mist. Coastlines that shift with the light. Mountains, rivers, beaches, and winding logging roads, all within striking distance of Vancouver. Whether you’re shooting a seasonal campaign, a product launch, or a lifestyle collection, the options here are endless.
I’m based in Vancouver but often find myself on the road, working in Squamish, Whistler, the Sunshine Coast, Tofino, Chilliwack, and other places that offer a unique sense of character. One of the things I love most about shooting here is how many distinct environments exist just a few hours apart. You can photograph alpine adventure in the morning and be waist-deep in ocean mist by sunset.
Brands I’ve collaborated with like Thursday Boots, Nothing New Sneakers, and Northern Icons have all used BC’s landscapes as the setting for their campaigns. Whether it’s shooting boots on windswept beaches, sneakers along forest trails, or climbers testing gear on granite walls, my goal is always to create imagery that feels grounded, natural, and connected to the place.
In a recent shoot with Nikon for the Z50II launch, we photographed trail runners, paddleboarders, and highliners from sunrise to golden hour. What made the project special wasn’t just the gear, it was the opportunity to tell a cohesive visual story across multiple outdoor locations and highlight how dynamic this region really is.
